On May 11th, Eye Care Equality hosted its ninth event at The Shriram Millennium School in Noida, Uttar Pradesh, where we extended our compassionate services to 159 blue-collar workers.
At this uplifting event, our team of doctors and volunteers held free eye check-up camps at The Shriram Millennium School, diagnosing previously unnoticed vision issues. This was a key step toward empowering the labor force, ensuring they could work safely and efficiently. The day was filled with smiles, gratitude and improved vision, giving these individuals a brighter, more secure future.
We tested 159 blue-collar workers and found out that a total of 71 workers needed reading glasses which were provided for free and 31% of workers were prescribed distance glasses. We also provided 36 eye drops for workers who complained about redness or itchiness in their eyes.
We are truly grateful to our donors! It would not have been possible without your support.
This initiative would not have been possible without the unwavering support of Aparna Ma'am, Piya Ma'am, Ramanjit Ma'am and Uttara Ma'am, who believed in us and supported this camp.
Eye Care Equality remains committed to making a tangible difference in the lives of daily wage laborers, one event at a time.
