On March 9th, Eye Care Equality hosted its third event at Kesri Alloys in Bhiwadi, Rajasthan, where we extended our compassionate services to 331 blue-collar workers.
At this uplifting event, our team of doctors and volunteers held free eye check-up camps at Kesri Alloys, diagnosing previously unnoticed vision issues. This was a key step toward empowering the labor force, ensuring they could work safely and efficiently. The day was filled with smiles, gratitude and improved vision, giving these individuals a brighter, more secure future
We tested 331 blue-collar workers and found out that 71.9% needed eye care services. A total of 133 workers needed reading glasses which were provided for free and 45 workers were prescribed distance glasses. We also provided 60 eye drops for workers who complained About Us redness or itchiness in their eyes.
We are truly grateful to our donors! It would not have been possible without your support.
A big thank you to Mr. Amit Kumar Jain, the owner of Kesri Alloys Pvt. Ltd. for allowing us to set up a camp in his factory and always being there for us! Eye Care Equality remains committed to making a tangible difference in the lives of daily wage laborers, one event at a time.
