17 March 2024
On March 17th, Eye Care Equality hosted its fourth event at Krishna Exports in Lakkarpur, Faridabad, where we extended our compassionate services to 445 blue-collar workers and with that, we completed the 1000-worker mark!
At this uplifting event, our team of doctors and volunteers held free eye check-up camps at Krishna Exports, diagnosing previously unnoticed vision issues. This was a key step toward empowering the labor force, ensuring they could work safely and efficiently. The day was filled with smiles, gratitude and improved vision, giving these individuals a brighter, more secure future.
We tested 445 blue-collar workers and found out that 52.8% needed eye care services. A total of 88 workers needed reading glasses which were provided for free and 112 workers were prescribed distance glasses. We also provided 35 eye drops for workers who complained about redness or itchiness in their eyes.
We are truly grateful to our donors! It would not have been possible without your support.
Eye Care Equality remains committed to making a tangible difference in the lives of daily wage laborers, one event at a time.
